Information We Collect

HW4Checker processes the VIN locally in your browser. The raw VIN is not included in our analytics events and is not sent to an application server.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to collect aggregated page-view data and a custom VIN-check event containing only the estimated outcome, never the raw VIN. Vercel may process the page URL, referrer, approximate region, browser, operating system, and device type. Vercel Speed Insights collects real-user performance measurements such as loading speed and responsiveness.

If you use Recent checks, the last ten successful results are stored only in this device's browser storage. You can clear that history from the checker at any time.

Cookies

HW4Checker does not set advertising cookies. Vercel Web Analytics is designed to operate without third-party cookies. Embedded services may use their own storage or connection data under their respective policies.

Third-Party Services

Typography is served from this site. The FSD Videos page embeds YouTube using YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain. Outbound Tesla referral and test-drive links take you to Tesla's website. Some Tesla links contain a referral parameter and may provide a benefit to the site operator if used. These services process requests under their own privacy policies.

Your Rights

You can use this tool without creating an account. Because the raw VIN is processed only in your browser, HW4Checker has no VIN lookup record to retrieve or delete. Questions about aggregated analytics can be sent to team@hw4checker.com.
